Brooke's here to support The Road Les Travelled
Hi lovelies,
Thanks for visiting my page. As some of you know, ovarian cancer continues to be a reality in my family. My dearest Aunt Lesley—Aunt Sassy, the best of the best—was diagnosed with this disease.
Aunt Les is the kind of person you always want to be around: she’s magnetic, generous, hilarious and loving. She’s the kind of person who always opens her door, she takes in the sick and the lonely; she’s always available if you need a good talk and can tell you to pull up your big girl panties while simultaneously reminding you that you’re totally loved; she can whip up a meal for 20 without breaking a sweat and there’s no one better to share a glass of wine with. She’s a doer and a giver with a giant heart and a perfect example of why cancer is bullsh*t.
Today, Les is working hard on recovering from surgery and chemo and preparing physically to ready herself for her next chapter. And I love her so much <3
Aunt Les, like thousands of Canadians, is living with ovarian cancer. Approximately 3,100 more just like her will be diagnosed this year. I am walking and fundraising to support Aunt Lesley and others like her who are living with this disease.
The money raised by the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk will spur advocacy efforts to provide the best possible care, further scientific progress, and ensure that all those diagnosed know that they are not alone.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease, and every step and every dollar will go towards creating a brighter future for those affected by ovarian cancer.
Please consider donating to my Walk or register to join me!
Thank you for your support, it means the world to me and everyone affected by this disease.
With love,
Brooke
