Last year, I became one of the 3000 people who would be diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2022. I was stunned!  I don't fit the mould of who I thought gets cancer and I thought I was 'safe'.  I had no idea what to watch for and no inkling that it might be cancer until I got the diagnosis.  What a blow!!

Cancer was not one of my dedicated charities.  I gave when asked and on behalf of friends who had been affected.  I do not expect anyone to change their giving patterns but I must tell you that I have benefitted incredibly over this year of treatment because of the research that has been done.  I cannot adequately express my gratitude to Researchers and Doctors.  I have received top-notch, up-to-the minute treatment because they have persevered and stayed on top of developments.  If you have a few spare dollars to support this incredible work, I would be honoured to have you join my team for this walk.  Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
