One of my favourite things to do is laugh - especially those hearty laughs when my entire body shakes and tears stream down my face. I love making other people laugh and love it even more when we can all laugh together.

I am grateful for the amazing individuals who supported me as I recovered from a successful surgery for ovarian cancer. While attempting to make light of a dark situation, those friends and I tried to laugh and joke as we always did, but my body wouldn't allow it. Suddenly, the words "don't make me laugh", became part of my daily vocabulary. And now, the name of my team for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.

Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year. It’s time to pick up the pace for ovarian cancer. Enough is enough and I’m determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.

 

By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m making ovarian cancer a priority. I'm funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.

 

Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
