Welcome to Beth's page - walking with Team Ultreya
I am participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope happening September 10, 2023 as part of Team Ultreya, to support my friend and the thousands of Canadians who are living with ovarian cancer.
Where does that name come from: In 2004 my friend walked the Camino de Santiago, where she learned the phrase "Ultreya”, a term associated with the Camino that can be loosely translated to mean "onward" or "keep going". After the Camino, she learned that “Ultreya” can also mean, “Moving forward with courage”.
So I will walk to support the thousands of women living with ovarian cancer and their families to move forward with courage.
Our team is determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease. We want to see real change, and it is possible, but we can’t do it alone. We’re rallying support and we want you to join us!
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
