Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.

Every day five women in Canada die of this disease. In fact, outcomes for ovarian cancer have not changed in the last fifty years !
They call it the silent killer disease. Many women do not even know they have the disease, as some have no symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no reliable test to detect this disease.

Our team is walking in memory of Lydia and for all women- mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends everywhere --Each of these women is central to a family. That’s why our team is rallying with the community at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. We NEED to change the outcomes of this disease.

The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.
