Joanne's Raspberry Giraffes

Joanne Groslouis fought hard through the cancer, through her tumour removal operation, and definitely through the chemo .  What began in February 2022 ended just 14 months later when she passed on the morning of April 5th at the age of 57.  It was going to be her 30th wedding anniversary this year ... her 35th year together with her husband Michael.

She walked at the 2022 Walk of Hope in Charlottetown just a month and half after a major operation.  She really wanted to walk again this year.  Our team is walking for her under the banner of Joanne's Raspberry Giraffes.  Joanne loved giraffes!  And she often blew raspberries of affection at her loved ones.   By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, we're honouring Joanne's memory and her determination to beat ovarian cancer. We don't want to see another person go through what Joanne did.  Money raised in Joanne's honour will help fund vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.

Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.

The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer is around the corner. Please donate to my Walk now or sign up to join me because there simply isn’t time to wait. Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.

Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.

Remember ... Hold your head up high and blow a raspberry at ovarian cancer!
