The Sue Deacon Cup

Due to current concerns related to COVID-19, and in the best interests of our generous donors and supporters in Toronto, the Sue Deacon Cup Committee and Ovarian Cancer Canada are postponing the event until further notice.  As new recommndations from public health experts come forward, we will re-assess and update our plans as needed.

You can still register and begin your fundraising.  Your registration fee includes one day of great hockey, food, friends and a swag bag!

Our amazing community has raised over a half million dollars since this tournament began, let's continue to support the Sue Deacon Ovarian Cancer Research Fund by committing to raise $350 each.

About the Sue Deacon Cup

The Sue Deacon Cup, was founded in 2014 by Sue's family and friends.  A way to remember her by doing what she loved the most - playing hockey at Bill Bolton Arena.   The amount of support was amazing and an annual tradition was born.

“Stop playing hockey? Might as well ask me not to breathe.” - Sue Deacon

This year in Canada, 2,800 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and half will not survive past five years. In 2016, the Sue Deacon Cup Committee and Ovarian Cancer Canada created the Sue Deacon Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to help improve the outcomes for those women. All proceeds will go directly into the fund where researchers are working to ensure that women with ovarian cancer and all women at risk of the disease live fuller, better, longer lives.
