Sue Smee Memorial Page

This page is in memory of Susan Mary Smee, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Sue’s brilliant light has dimmed, but will never be extinguished. She fought valiantly against this terrible disease for several years and was taken from us far too soon.

Sue was an incredibly loving and kind person, always there for her family and friends whenever they needed a helping hand or a hug. Her sharp wit and great sense of humour brought light and laughter to all. Sue’s remarkable creativity left us all with beautiful examples of her sewing, quilting, photography, and travel journaling.

Sue’s generous spirit, for which she was renowned, was with her to the end. In her final days we learned that her tumours were being used in ground-breaking research; her brilliant smile returned once again.

Help us raise the funds to keep this research going. Ovarian cancer is the most fatal of women’s cancers, yet there is no screening test. Treatments rely often on toxic drugs developed decades ago. Five women die every day from this disease. Your donation can help change this.

Together we can make a difference.
