Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 3,100 will be diagnosed this year. 

Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why I am supporting this vital cause.

This event is special to me because my father's aunt died of ovarian cancer at a very young age. I am named after her mother, and I hope to carry on her legacy through my name and through finding a cure so other kids don't lose their moms. 

Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the Canadian charity championing the health and wellbeing of women with ovarian cancer and those at risk for the disease, while advancing research to save lives. Funds will help further scientific progress, advocacy efforts and support programs.
